By Eric J. Westendorf

Sarver, PA (May 17, 2007) The buzz surrounding the Inaugural World of Outlaws Late Model Series Firecracker 100 is rapidly building to a roar as the June 29/30 event draws near.  The $30,000 to win Firecracker 100 will be the "Biggest Stock Car Race in Western Pennsylvania History."  There are currently 43 drivers pre-registered for showcase event of the Great Northern Tour, with expectations of near 100 drivers expected to register by race day. The long-awaited two-day World of Outlaws Late Model Series race at Lernerville Speedway will be action packed with racing, fan entertainment and interaction, as well as post-race festivities.

The event will begin on Friday June 29 with two qualifying segments.  The first segment will be time trials, where each driver will have two laps to circle the 4/10-mile track in the least amount of time.  Darrell Lanigan holds the current track record for Late Models at 15.072 seconds.  The second segment will consist of heat races that will be set by the results of the time trials.  The results of the heat races will in turn set the starting grids for the main races to follow on Saturday June 30.

Once qualifying has finished on Friday Night, the show will go on with a concert featuring country/rock band Nomad and National Recording Artist Vanessa Campagna, a tailgate party with "Pittsburgh's Best Country" Y108, and finally a fireworks display by "Fireworks by Judy".

The off-track entertainment will resume Saturday afternoon with more tailgating with Y108, the first annual "Lernerville Weenie Roast" and continue with an exclusive Firecracker 100 autograph session.  Every driver registered and racing that weekend will participate in the hour-long autograph session.   The autograph session will be an exclusive privilege for those who have purchased advance tickets for the two-day show.  Another perk of the advanced purchase two-day ticket will be FREE pit entry for Friday Night's qualifying segment.  Any fan that purchases advanced tickets will receive a special wristband that will permit them pit entry on Friday, and entry into the exclusive autograph session Saturday afternoon.

The racing will resume at 7:00 Saturday with hot laps, then last chance consolation races.  Two B-mains will set the fields for the $3000 to win Uncle Sam 30 followed by $30,000 to win Firecracker 100 A-main Feature.

Again, the Inaugural Firecracker 100 will be the "Biggest Stock Car Race in Western Pennsylvania History" and the Showcase event of the Great Northern Tour.  As such, the Firecracker 100 is fully expected to be a sold out, standing room only weekend.  The best way to ensure your attendance and interaction in this two-day World of Outlaws Late Model Series experience is to purchase your tickets in advance.  As mentioned above, your advanced two-day ticket purchase will be complemented by a special wristband that will allow you entry into the pits Friday Night and exclusive driver autograph session Saturday afternoon.

Tickets can only be purchased as a two-day package.  Tickets range in price for general admission, reserved seats, and pit passes.  General admission tickets are selling at $39 for adults 18 and over, $36 for seniors, $34 for students 11-17 years old, 10 and under will be admitted FREE!  Reserved seats adults are $42, seniors $40, 17 and under $37.  Pit passes are $40 for DIRT Member, $50 for non-DIRT Member, with no age restrictions or discounts.
