Firecracker Flashback – Clanton Breaks Through with 4th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com

Firecracker Flashback – Clanton Breaks Through with 4th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com

SARVER, PA - June 26, 2010 – We’re now just three short weeks away from the 7th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com and as such, this week’s Firecracker Flashback looks back three years ago to 2010 when Shane Clanton finally won the Firecracker 100.  Clanton bested an extremely frustrated and disappointed Darrell Lanigan, after once again falling just short of victory in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series mega-event that was run in front of a huge crowd and the SPEED television cameras.

There were wildly contrasting emotions displayed by the top two finishers in the fourth annual Firecracker 100, which served as a satisfying – and lucrative – breakthrough performance for Clanton and another frustrating disappointment for Lanigan.

Sarver, PA (May 30, 2013) We’re now just four weeks away from the 7th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com; scheduled for Thursday-Friday-Saturday, June 27-28-29.  Four years ago, Wisconsin Late Model star Jimmy Mars was unstoppable in 2009’s 3rd Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com.  After being angered by a scrape with another competitor that forced him to the pit area with a flat left-rear tire on lap 27, Mars stormed through the field to register a dramatic victory in the blockbuster $140,000 World of Outlaws Late Model Series event.

SARVER, PA (May 23, 2013) The 7th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com is now just five weeks away; scheduled for Thursday-Friday-Saturday, June 27-28-29.  Five years ago, in the 2nd Annual Firecracker 100 that paid $40,000-to-win in honor of the 40th Anniversary season of Lernerville Seedway, Iowa native Brian Birkhofer thrilled the Lernerville Speedway crowd by sporting a Steelers themed racing helmet and waving the iconic Terrible Towel in Sheetz Victory Lane after scoring a $40,000 win in the rescheduled 2nd Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com.  Originally scheduled for the last weekend in June, rain pushed the second and final night (recall the original format was time trials & heats Friday Night and then C-Main, B-Mains and Features Saturday Night) back to the end of July.

SARVER, PA – May 16, 2013 – After Scott Bloomquist won the Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com for the second time last year at Lernerville Speedway, he spent about 15 minutes meeting with press members in the facility’s media room.

During that press conference the Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer explained, of course, how he won the marquee World of Outlaws Late Model Series event. But he also became an unsolicited promoter of both the well-known four-tenths-mile oval and this year’s seventh annual Firecracker 100 extravaganza, which is scheduled for June 27-29.
