Danny Holtgraver and Russ King return to Sheetz Victory Lane
All Time Wins Leader Brian Swartzlander scores career feature win #83
Terry Young holds off Corey McPherson for Sportsman feature win

Sarver, PA (April 18, 2014)  Danny Holtgraver and Russ King have both won bigger races in their careers at Lernerville Speedway, (Holtgraver won an All Star feature two years ago and King won the Uncle Sam 30 last summer), but it’s always great to win on Opening Night!  Holtgraver had to run down fellow former Peoples TWP Sprint Car Track Champion Carl Bowser to score the feature win in a tune up for May 9’s All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint race presented by Turner’s Premium Iced Teas.  King officially led the entire race, but had to battle with Mike Pegher Jr. on lap 17 to score the Precise Late Models feature win.  Pegher drove past King on the back straightaway to briefly take the lead, but King battled back and took Pegher to the wall in turn four.  Pegher checked up, but contact was still made and King maintained the lead at the flagstand.  King then drove away from Pegher and Jared Miley to score the feature win.  Brian Swartzlander extended his All Time Division wins lead with his 83 career feature win in the Diehl Mods after passing early leader Rex King Sr. on lap four.  Terry Young capped off Opening Night with his fifth career feature win in the Pic-A-Part Sportsman over Back-to-Back Champ Corey McPherson.

Opening Night 2014 Race Report 4.18

Opening Night sees Holtgraver, King, Swartzlander and Young in Sheetz Victory Lane

Sarver, PA (April 19, 2014)  There’s nothing quite like Opening Night at Lernerville Speedway; seeing familiar faces, smelling the fumes that evoke childhood memories of “the good old days” and most importantly, being back at our second home.  For drivers, winning on Opening Night is extra special because it starts the season on a high note that tends to carry on throughout the season.  None of tonight’s feature winners were new to Sheetz Victory Lane, but getting the first win of the season sure feels like winning for the first time all over again!

Kids the Big Winners - Back to School Bus & Kids Bike Race Results 9.14

Kids the big winners!
Jordan Myers and Rosie Spithaler repeat in School Bus victories
Mike Valasek, Kelvin Kohan and Brian Daugherty all winners

Sarver, PA (September 14, 2013) The kids of the “Kids Bike Race” portion of the School Bus & Kids Bike Races are always the biggest winners; riding their bikes on the very same track that the heroes of Fab Four Racing compete, where names like Steve Kinser and Sammy Swindell, Scott Bloomquist and Josh Richards, Brett Hearn and Brian Swartzlander, and Joe Kelley and Corey McPherson have won multiple races on one of the biggest stages in all of dirt track racing. So to stand in Sheetz Victory Lane holding a trophy is a memory that will never fade! For Jordan Myers and Rosie Spithaler, it was busy as usual. Both Jordan and Rosie repeated as Bus Race winners, just as they did in July. But for Mike Valasek, Kelvin Kohan and Brian Daugherty it was the first win that these kids at heart will surely never forget. Mike Valasek was on rails in the V2 and beat Mike Hilla Jr. to win the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Senior Series race. Kelvin Kohan, who turned hundreds of laps in a Super Late Model at the Action Track this summer, scored his first Lernerville feature win in the 3/4 Late Models, while Brian Daugherty won the Demo Derby.

All that said, herein you will find a more complete recap of last Saturday’s Autumn-Motive Fest Sportsman/Stock Spectacular, a complete rundown of the Enduro 100 results and a preview of this weekend’s upcoming “Back to School” Bus & Kids Bike Races with Senior Series Stocks, Figure 8s and a Demolition Derby.

“Super Joe Kelley” wins $2,000 Sportsman/Stock Spectacular
Aaron Easler claims non-winners race, Glenn Noland scores 18th Enduro win

Sarver, PA (September 7, 2013) After a two year win drought, All Time division wins leader Joe Kelley scored his second win in just over two weeks by running away with the $2,000-to-win Sportsman/Stock Spectacular portion of Advance Auto Parts Autumn-Motive Fest 2013. Kelley endured a bevy of early cautions and inherited the lead when Chris Schneider succumb to gremlins mid-race. Kelley continued his dominance around the bottom of the turns at both ends of the Action Track and won his 46 career feature at Lernerville Speedway. Aaron Easler won the non-winners race; a quasi-consolation race for weekly competitors that have not yet scored their first feature wins. In recent years, drivers like Ryan Moyer, Jim Fosnaught and Brett McDonald have used this race as a springboard to more consistent success on Fab Four Fridays. Glenn Noland scored his 18th career win in the $1,000 Enduro 100.
