Mid-Season Championships thrill once more!

Swartzlander adds to Hall of Fame credentials with win #74

Ellenberger repeats & locks into Silver Cup Twin 30s

Miley & McPherson score grand slam wins

Sarver, PA (June 23, 2012) The Mid-Season Championships lived up to the hype again Friday night with the biggest car count of the season and incredible battles for the lead.  With marquee event provisionals on the line for all Fab Four Racing divisions, the desire to take the checkered flag was at a fever pitch.  Brian Swartzlander reclaimed an early lead that Steve Feder stole away to score his 74th career feature win in the Diehl Mods feature to lock into the Kodiak Memorial.  Brian Ellenberger reeled in and then passed Defending Track Champion Carl Bowser in the Ti22 Sprints to secure a starting spot in the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30s.  Jared Miley scored his fourth Precise Late Model win of the season over John Garvin Jr. who had to settle for the peace of mind that he’s locked into next weekend’s Firecracker 100 $30,000-to-win A-Main along with Miley.  The night came to a dramatic close as Corey McPherson held off a furious charge by Jim Fosnaught in another barnburner in the Pic-A-Part Sportsman feature to score his fourth win of 2012 and a starting spot in the Sportsman/Stock Spectacular.

Four sure Mid-Season Championships for Miley & McPherson
John Garvin Jr. loses race, but wins Firecracker provisional

Sarver, PA (June 22, 2012) The Mid-Season Championships lived up to the hype once again as All Time Diehl Auto Groups DIRTcar Northeast Big Block Modified feature wins leader Brian Swartzlander scored his 74th career checkered flag in a thrilling race that saw him lose the lead early in the race, only to charge back after a mid-race incident between leaders Kevin Bolland and Steve Feder.  Jared Miley and Corey McPherson continued their excellent seasons, each scoring their fourth feature win of the season, while Brian Ellenberger went back-to-back in the Ti22 Sprints for his third win of the season and to lock in a provisional for the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup Twin 30s featuring the World of Outlaws Sprints on Tuesday, July 17.  Miley had already secured a track provisional for next weekend’s 6th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com by virtue of carrying a 40+ point lead in the Budweiser point standings, but his Mid-Season Championship puts the points-based provisional in the pocket of John Garvin Jr.; whom Miley passed mid-race for the lead.  Swartzlander’s win points him in the BRP Tour Finale/Kodiak Memorial Modified feature at the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede and Corey McPherson’s win locks him into the Sportsman/Stock Spectacular at Autumn-Motive Fest 2012.

Brian Ellenberger wins a thriller over Eric Williams in Ti22 Sprints
Corey McPherson continues to roll with third win in Pic-A-Part Sportsman

Feder fought back, but Pearson scored an emotional win after years of trying!  Prior to that, Davey Johnson, in the #1J, ran away with the Precise Late Model feature as a trio of other “1’s” – Chub Frank in the 1*, Mike Pegher Jr. in the #1C and Bud Points Leader Jared Miley in the H1.  Brian Ellenberger and Eric Williams traded the lead multiple times in the Ti22 Sprint feature with Ellenberger scoring his second win of the season.  Corey McPherson brought the Holiday Races to a close on #1 Cochran Fan Appreciation Night with a dominant performance, leading all 22-laps of the caution-riddle Pic-A-Part Sportsman feature.
