Sarver, PA (August 24, 2017) The Fab Four Fueled by Turner's Premium Iced Tea make their final regular season appearance on Friday night as four champions await to be officially crowned following the night of racing, and the festivities that come along with the 50th Anniversary of Lernerville Speedway.   There will be a fireworks display, courtesy of Butler County Tourism, and a Go Kart display as well as other anniversary related festivities.

Drivers will also find some extra cash this week as $50 per position has been added to the purse for all divisions.

The Peoples Natural Gas Sprint Cars have the closest points battle coming into Friday night as AJ Flick leads Dan Shetler by nine markers. Drivers can earn a maxium of 40 points on any given points night, (30 for feature win,  10 for a heat win) so while Flick's lead looks to be solid, it is not insurmountable.  Shetler has had a remarkable regular season run in 2017, and to cap it off with a championship, he will need to keep Flick several positions behind him in the main event, and put forth a very strong effort in his heat. Flick has been a model of consistency for the most part this season, and has turned top fives into podium finishes at a regular clip. For Flick to become champion, he will need to take care of the car, while not playing it too safe at the same time.

Michael Norris kept his assault on the Precise Racing Products DIRTcar Late Models rolling last Friday night as he captured his fifth win of the season.  He currently leads Alex Ferree by 35 points and could wind up the champion upon taking the green flag of the main event should he remain unscathed in his heat race. Several drivers including Ferree, Matt Lux, and Mike Pegher Jr have yet to taste victory lane in 2017 and will be putting forth their best efforts to take that elusive victory in the final event of the season.

In the Diehl Automotive DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, Mat Williamson holds a 26 point advantage over Brian Swartzlander coming into the night. Williamson should almost assuredly take home the championship as the only scenario that could see him not would involve a DNF and a Swartzlander victory.  Jeremiah Shingledecker picked up his first win at The Action Track in 2017 last Friday night in a thrilling battle with Williamson and looked impressive in doing so. He'll be fending off Dave Murdick for the final podium spot in the season standings as Murdick resides 11 points behind.  Murdick, Steve Feder and Garrett Krummert are looking for their first wins of the season as well.

Corey McPherson has put the championship in his back pocket in the Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar/RUSH Pro Stocks and behind him, the standings look fairly secure with the notable exception of the fifth place tie between Jim Fosnaught and Joe Kelley. Neither Fosnaught nor Kelley have tasted victory lane in 2017 as well as former feature winners Terry Young and Joey Zambotti.

Pit gates will open at 4 PM with grandstands opening at 5 PM and racing starting at 7:30 PM sharp.  Adult general admission is $14 while admission for seniors will be $11, $7 for students and children 10 and under are free.  Pit passes are priced at $20 For DIRTcar members, $30 for non members.
