Sarver, PA (September 19, 2018) The curtain came down on the RK Virgile Wednesday Night Can't Wait for the Weekend Mayhem Series for 2018 on Wednesday night.  And, when the final checkered flag waved, an Inaugural RUSH Sprint Car Wednesday Night Lightning points champion was crowned, an up and coming driver in the area Sprint Car ranks made his second appearance in Terry Bowser Victory Lane in 2018. It was a night that saw a lengthy winning streak come to an end and saw two drivers take their first ever main event wins at The Action Track.

Zach Morrow had enjoyed some success in his first year in the RUSH Sprint Cars, and put a exclamation point on his season as he turned in a solid performance on Wednesday night, leading the field on hand from green to checkers to collect his second win at Lernerville this season. Morrow drove away from the field from the outset and looked to be the car to beat as he worked the top side of the surface for the 20 lap main event. Morrow would manage fend off a late race challenge from Arnie Kent to preserve the victory.

Speaking of Kent, the veteran pilot came into the night six markers behind Gale Ruth Jr in the Wednesday Night Lightning points standings for the RUSH Sprint Cars. And at the end of the night, he came out on top by virtue of his second place performance and a rough night for Ruth who's car appeared to be suffering mechanical gremlins as he pulled off the speedway in both his heat and his feature. The chips fell into place for Kent and he took advantage of the opportunity as he drove a smart yet fast race to clinch the title.

In the American Steel Processing 4 Cylinders, Phillip Bubecht got to the front of the field in quick fashion and stayed there for the remainder of the 15 lap main event. Bubecht prevented Dillon Speer from sweeping the five night series with the win and will be a car to watch in the upcoming Steel City Stampede, October 11-13.  Meanwhile,  Ken Heasley Jr. swept both the heat and main event in Gellners Sales and Service UTV action.
