Sarver, PA (July 29, 2022) It was another picture-perfect evening on Friday, July 29 at Lernerville Speedway for Panza Supply Night as the Peoples Natural Gas Sprints, Precise Racing Products Late Models, Diehl Automotive Big Block Modifieds, and the Millerstown Pic-A-Part Pro Stocks all returned for a Fab4 Revved Up with Marburger Farm Dairy event for the first time since June 17.

The Peoples Sprints feature saw Dan Shetler and Cody Bova lead the pack to the green flag with Shetler jumping out to the early lead. Shetler lead the first nine laps until David Kalb used the bottom side of the speedway to take the lead on lap 10. Kalb began to separate himself from the pack as Darin Gallagher pressured Shetler for the runner-up spot as fifth starting A.J. Flick closed in on the duo. By lap 15, Gallagher finessed his way around Shetler for the second spot as the leaders battled heavy lapped traffic. One lap later, Flick, who appeared to be the fastest car on the track, also got by Shetler for the third spot and set his sights on the leaders. Flick took the second position away from Gallagher on lap 20 with a slide job in turns three and four and wasted no time using his high-side momentum to work his way around Kalb for the lead on lap 21. Flick would go on to lead the final four laps and take his sixth Lernerville checkered flag of the year by 2.9 seconds over Gallagher, who got by third place finisher Kalb on the final lap. Shetler finished fourth with 14th starting, Carl Bowser rounding out the top-five.

˜My dad stressed to me, be patient, we knew we had a decent enough car that we can at least race and get to the front, Flick said in Terry Bowser Excavating Victory Lane while celebrating his sixth Lernerville win of 2022. ˜I was surprised at how good Kalb was, so congrats to him, he had a heck of a good run. As soon as we took off, I lost two spots, so I just tried to file in line and pay attention to who the leader was and where the leader was and make sure that nobody got away. We hit about the halfway point and counting the laps in my head and thought, I should probably get a move on because I think were running out of time. Its a good thing I started picking up the pace when I did but there was lapped traffic the entire race, Shetler and Gallagher ran side-by-side for about five laps, the track was just bottled up. I had nothing to do, and I had to make sure I took advantage of every opportunity given to me when it opened up.

Kyle Knapp paced the Precise Late Models feature for the 17 laps until contact with ninth starting Colton Flinner coming out of turn four opened the door for Daryl Charlier to take control and capture his first career Super Late Model win at Lernerville Speedway. The win now gives Charlier three wins in three different divisions at ˜The Action Track as In 2021, Charlier won in a Pro Stock and just one week ago, he won the RUSH Summer Showcase with the Flynns Tire RUSH Late Model Touring Series.  Eighth starting Tyler Dietz finished second, just .854 second behind the race winner with Knapp holding on for a third-place finish. Ken Schaltenbrand came home third with John Garvin completing the top-five.

˜At the beginning of the year, I didnt think it was ever going to happen Charlier said when asked what it meant to him to win in a Super Late Model at Lernerville. ˜Im not sure we were the fastest car here tonight but, we were in the right place at the right time. Everything happens so much faster in the Super Late Model, youve got so much horsepower, everybodys got elbows up the whole time and, I just think everything happens so much quicker, so you have to be that much quicker on the wheel. I just tried to stay with him (Knapp) as much as possible, I seen Flinner put his nose in there and try to make something happen and they got together there. Their misfortune was my fortune and, sometimes thats how racing goes. A wins a win in my book so, well take it home.

Up next was the Diehl Modifieds for their 25-lap feature in which Chas Wolbert and Steve Slater led to the green flag with Wolbert taking the early lead and third starting Jeremiah Shingledecker moving into second. Wolbert and Shingledecker set a torrid pace early in the event and pulled away from the field as Rex King, Jr., made his way into third on lap seven. King was over three seconds behind the lead pair but by lap 15, had that deficit down to under one second. The leaders hit lapped traffic on lap 17 which allowed King to join the battle for the lead as Mark Frankhouser had a wheel come off his mount on the front stretch just as Shingledecker took the lead from Wolbert in turns one and two on lap 22 to bring out the caution. With the caution being thrown, Wolbert held onto the lead for the ensuing restart where Shingledecker used his outside starting spot to get by Wolbert for the lead on lap 23. Shingledecker would go on to lead the final two laps to pick up his second Lernerville win of the season. Wolbert finished second with Garrett Krummert coming from his tenth starting spot to finish third just ahead of Brian Swartzlander and King, who fell back to fifth on the final lap after sliding off the top of the back stretch.

˜I knew early on that my car was pretty good, I was trying to save my tires, so I had a little bit left at the end, Shingledecker said in victory lane. ˜Its his (Wolbert) first year in a Big Block but he has a lot of laps in the crate car, he did a really great job, cant take anything away from him. We were just a little bit better but, he was moving around searching for stuff, it made it hard to pass because wasnt exactly sure where he was going to be at.

The final feature of the evening was the Millerstown Pro Stocks that saw Chris Schneider take the lead on lap five from front-row starter, Joshua Seipple and dominate the final 15 circuits en route to his third Lernerville win of the season. Cody Koteles finished second, 5.2 seconds behind the race winner with Brian Daugherty finishing third. Tyler Dietz came from ninth to finish fourth as Seipple held on for a fifth-place finish.

˜The car was good, I was trying different lines and a different set-up, Schneider said in Terry Bowser Excavating Victory Lane. ˜This clay is a little different, the track configuration, its a little different than were used to. It reminds me of 20 years ago, the days of old, the clay that was here but, she (the track) was great. I dont know, were just going to keep it like this for next week, as the Penn Ohio Pro Stock Tour is set to visit Lernerville on Friday, August 5.
