On Tap- The Action Track Swings Open the Gates with Steel City Stampede ReBoot taking Center Stage

Sarver, PA (April 3, 2024) The Action Track roars to life this weekend with a unique twist to kick off the 2024 schedule of events! On Friday, April 5, the gates swing open as we host our first Test & Tune event of the season with cars from all divisions and from all over the area will be participating in rotating hot laps as they tune up and shake down for the coming season. Then, the focus shifts to entertainment as we will have a live DJ on the premises, spinning tunes for all to enjoy, while a traditional ritual of our annual Steel City Stampede roars in the background! Following the activities on Friday night, the action turns back to the track on Saturday, April 6 as we complete the held over features from the Steel City Stampede.

Racing on Saturday night will be the Millerstown Pic-A-Part Penn Ohio Pro Stocks who will be completing their 25 lap feature starting right where they left off in October, with nine laps in the books and 16 laps remaining. It’s still a very special trophy up for grabs as the annual Dow Carnahan/Kyle Stramaski Memorial main event still has a good bit of intrigue left. Pole sitter and defending Pro Stock champion Tyler Dietz will start the race with a chance to make it back to back belt buckles in one of the richest Pro Stock events in the area. Behind him, the best of the best among Pro Stock drivers in the area including the always tough Chris Schneider and Andrew Gordon will be looking to wrest the trophy away over the final 16 laps. They’ll be followed by the Diehl Automotive Big Block Modifieds who will be pounding the ground in a 25 lap, $3,000-to-win main event with Rick Regalski on the pole and hard chargers Rex King Jr., and Garrett Krummert ready to make a surge to the front.

The RUSH Sportsman Modifieds and UEMS Emod Series will also finish their main events with both racing in 20 lap main events along with a 15 lap main event for the Butler County Tourism Mini Stocks. And, to cap the evening of racing, we retire our yellow flag for the night as fans feast their eyes on our 100 lap Enduro with $1,000 going to the winner.

In addition to all the racing and entertainment, camping will also be free of charge both Friday and Saturday with no reservation necessary.

Pits will open at 4 PM on Friday night for our Test & Tune event with grandstands opening at 5 PM and rotating hot laps starting at 6 PM. Grandstands will be free of charge on Friday night and the pit concession stand will be made available for all to enjoy. Pit passes on Friday will be available for $35. On Saturday, pits will open at 4 PM with grandstands once again opening at 5 PM and hot laps commencing at 6 PM followed by racing. Grandstand ticket and or stubs will be honored as well as all Saturday pit passes from the 2023 Steel City Stampede on Saturday, April 6. For those who purchased tickets to last year’s Stampede online, they will be honored at the door. Please go to the main gate to have those redeemed. If your ticket stub from the 2024 Stampede was inadvertently discarded, please call the office at 724-353-1511 and they can direct you to the redemption process so that you may gain entry. Pit passes will still be available on Saturday, April 6 for $35. We look forward to seeing you with us!
